Hello Reader, Here’s what’s been going on lately in the studio — a mix of exciting projects, a fresh animation release, and some cooler moments at home. 1. Animation in the MakingWe’ve started early design work on a new animation that addresses one of the biggest public health threats of our time: antibiotic resistance. The first visual proposal still needs refinement, but it already captures the core idea. Each year, over 1.2 million people die from infections that no longer respond to treatment. Gram-negative bacteria are especially dangerous - their outer membranes block most antibiotics, and the few drugs that work often damage the microbiome, leading to dangerous secondary infections. This new animation explains how precision antibiotics, inspired by nature and engineered for resilience, can selectively target superbugs like E. coli or Pseudomonas, while sparing the beneficial bacteria we depend on. It’s a clever Trojan horse strategy — and a great story to visualize. 2. Animation DeliveredA brand-new animation is now live, created for a company in Ireland that’s working on a novel way to treat damaged heart tissue after a heart attack. When heart cells die, they leave behind scars. These scars weaken the heart and increase the risk of heart failure. The client’s potential innovation is a new elastic hydrogel, delivered via catheter, that mimics the heart’s natural tissue. It forms a scaffold, prevents scarring, and promotes repair — a promising approach with long-term potential. One nice detail: the client requested an Irish voice-over, and we made it happen. We regularly work with artists around the globe and can match almost any accent or language you need. 3. Private news - from PolandNo travels this summer. We’ve decided to stay in Poland. Southern Europe is just too hot right now (especially for the kids), and honestly, Kraków in summer is hard to beat. Here are a few snapshots from a recent outing: our version of a beach tent, set up by a local lake and playground. And some of my shots during "blue hour" time. If you have any questions about our animations, just reply to this email. I’d also love to hear your thoughts on the newsletter - does it bring you value, and do you enjoy reading it? Helping biotech companies raise funding with powerful animations
Hello Reader, It's been two weeks since we last connected — time for another update from Life Science Animation, where we turn complex biotech into clear visual stories (and somehow juggle family life with PANS/PANDAS along the way). 1. Animation in the Making We're deep into creating a 2D/3D animation for Danish biotech Cymab.bio, visualizing their innovative approach to "cold" tumors — those that hide from the immune system. The challenge: While immunotherapies work brilliantly when immune...
Hello Reader, We’re in the thick of summer and busy as ever in the studio. Here's a quick look at what’s new: 1. Animation in the Making We’re working on a new animation that shows how NAD supports energy production in mitochondria - and why this matters for health. Our client NADMED, based in Finland, has developed a new way to measure NAD levels accurately and affordably. Until now, NAD testing was expensive, mainly used in research, and not very reliable. This is the first tool that really...
Hello Reader, Lots going on at the studio right now, so let’s dive straight in: 1. New animation GIF from Satellos explaining DMD We’ve just wrapped up an exciting 3D animation for Satellos, and the full video will be released soon. After watching the final version, our client felt the voice-over wasn’t quite right - something that only really becomes clear once you see and hear everything together. Luckily, changing voice-over is no big deal. There are plenty of talented artists who can...
