Sometimes one animation isn't enough

Montara Therapeutics had two stories - a lead drug and a platform technology. I told the CEO we could fit both into one animation.

I was wrong.

We made two instead. Each got the space it needed. Each landed at BIO San Diego. [Read the full story on LinkedIn]

How it helped - CEO feedback

Nicholas Hertz, CEO of Montara Therapeutics:

"Even with the platform, which is the harder of the two to explain, it looks solid and people understand it. Both videos are now live on our site, and we've heard directly from people who saw them that the animations genuinely added to their understanding of our science."

How we worked together - Montara's review

Max Lebovitz, VP of Business Operations:

"What impressed me most was their ability to quickly grasp the science, ask the right questions, and create a clear narrative around our technology."

"The animation gives us a powerful communication tool that can help investors, partners, and other audiences understand our approach much faster. Instead of spending valuable meeting time explaining the basics, conversations can start at a much deeper level."

Hello Reader, It's been two weeks since we last connected — time for another update from Life Science Animation, where we turn complex biotech into clear visual stories (and somehow juggle family life with PANS/PANDAS along the way). 1. Animation in the Making We're deep into creating a 2D/3D animation for Danish biotech Cymab.bio, visualizing their innovative approach to "cold" tumors — those that hide from the immune system. The challenge: While immunotherapies work brilliantly when immune...

Hello Reader, Here’s what’s been going on lately in the studio — a mix of exciting projects, a fresh animation release, and some cooler moments at home. 1. Animation in the Making We’ve started early design work on a new animation that addresses one of the biggest public health threats of our time: antibiotic resistance. The first visual proposal still needs refinement, but it already captures the core idea. Each year, over 1.2 million people die from infections that no longer respond to...
